About Mitta Mitta River (Gorge), Alpine National Park

Meeting Time:
Please arrive at 8.30 am, no earlier as we will be busy preparing equipment for your day on the river!

993 Benambra Rd Hinnomunjie (NEAR OMEO)
Directions to Raft Base from Omeo Post Office:
Travel North on Day Ave which leads onto the Omeo Highway C 543 towards the townships of Mitta Mitta and Tallangatta for 2.6km (NOT TOWARDS MT HOTHAM OR BAIRNSDALE)
Turn right towards Benambra on Benambra Road. Follow this road for 9km and you will reach the township of Hinnomunjie. The raft base is the first house on the left side after crossing Reedy Creek
The address is 993 Benambra Road, Hinnomunjie.
You will see red rafts at the front of the property, please park either side of the property to allow our Busses to exit the property.
DO NOT DRIVE TO HINNOMUNJIE BRIDGE!!!

Dress Code

If rafting in the cooler months- Warm clothes for the end of the day, 2 towels, sun screen, a beanie and a bottle of water.
If you have your own thermal underwear (Not cotton) you may bring it along to wear under raft gear or you can just wear your underwear or swimmers.

If rafting in the warmer months- Warm clothes for the end of the day, 2 towels, sun screen, a hat, a t-shirt and long shorts/boardies in case its to hot to wear a wetsuit and a bottle of water.

Medication if required.
Glasses strap if required.
Remember to pack light if you don’t need it don’t bring it!

All other Rafting equipment is supplied and includes- Wetsuit, fleece jumper, splash jacket, wet boots and if necessary- gloves and spare beanies.

Weather Information

As our river experiences are offered in the outdoors we are subject to environmental changes, if these changes result in excess or insufficient water for our craft to safely negotiate the river the raft type or the location of the trip may be altered or your trip may be rescheduled. Deposits will not be refunded in this situation, as you will be offered the choice of a trip on another river or on the same river on another date or a gift voucher will be isseued.

Minimum Participant Numbers:

For a trip to run on any given date or river we require a min number of 6 participants. Dates that are listed on our site are subject to achieving minimum numbers.

99% of weekend dates achieve Minimum numbers, if Minimum numbers are not achieved you will have the following options.
1. A refund less and fees or commissions
2. 12 Month Gift Voucher
3. Transfer to a suitable date

8.40am Safety Briefing
9.00am Change into river gear
9.30am Travel to River
10.30am Lesson on how to paddle then start river journey
12.00pm Lunch on the riverbank
1.00pm Continue journey
3.30pm Finish journey, and return to Raft Base
4.00pm Change and check out photos

What will be required of you?

• Eat well prior to and during the trip especially breakfast.
• Not to over indulge in alcohol the night before the trip, or during the trip, we expect that participants who feel they have blood alcohol content above .05 or are drug affected will voluntarily stand down from the trip.
• Notify the trip leader of any medical conditions and or medical emergency plans before you leave the raft base.
• To read and sign an assumption of risk signature form.
• Physical Exertion to which you may not be accustomed.
